Abstract

This study examines the impact of organizational culture and work stress on employee performance, with a specific focus on the Aceh People's Representative Council. Using a quantitative approach, data was collected through surveys from employees within the organization. The research employs statistical analysis techniques to evaluate the relationships between organizational culture, work stress, and performance. The findings reveal that organizational culture significantly influences work stress, indicating that a well-structured culture can either mitigate or exacerbate workplace stress. However, organizational culture does not have a direct positive effect on employee performance. Instead, work
stress plays a mediating role, shaping how employees respond to cultural dynamics and ultimately affecting their performance outcomes. This suggests that reducing workplace stress through effective cultural and managerial strategies is crucial for enhancing overall efficiency and productivity. The study contributes to the understanding of workplace dynamics in government institutions, offering practical insights for policymakers and organizational leaders. By fostering a positive organizational culture, improving stress management practices, and enhancing employee engagement, institutions can create a more conducive work environment that supports high performance. Future research should consider a broader sample across different sectors and incorporate qualitative methods to gain deeper insights into the complex interactions between culture, stress, and employee outcomes.
